Actively Working On Behalf of Our Members

The ILRA participates in a number of Provincial and Federal Government committees, and works actively with industry lobby and working groups.

The ILRA is very active in finding a solution to the Canadian / US softwood lumber dispute. The ILRA continues to be a strong voice both federally in Ottawa, and Provincially in Victoria on behalf of both our members and subsequently all independent remanufacturers in BC.

The ILRA continues to work closely with industry related associations and the Provincial Ministry of Forests in helping to develop new forest policies. It is the ILRA's objective to insure that the Ministry of Forest's new policies provide for the needs of the independent remanufacturers both by:

• supporting their claims of exemtion from US allegations resulting in the present CVD and Anti-Dumping duties, and;
• continuing to support the expansion and development of independent remanufacturers and the resulting benefits to communities in BC.
